Oh I just love this place! I've been going for 3 years and I'm never dissapointed. Great first date spot, or a nice place to take clients. Dark and romantic with elegant decore. The crowd is always varied from swing dancers and college kids (not the rowdy type) to older couples and business men. You can wear jeans or business casual. Blues on First is my favorite band; they aren't there very often anymore. The bar staff is great, the beer is cold and the food is wonderful. They reinvented the menu recently and it's good. Get there early; seating is limited.

A friend told be about Zanzibar and how great it was and every time I go there I call him to say thanks!! It's a great little suprise in Salt Lake, the atmoshpere is dark and smokey with great jazz and good cocktails and hot bartenders, guys in fedoras smoking cigars. The music is wonderful, with jam sessions on Monday nights and don't miss Quadrophic when they play. It's comfortable and never too crowded and your always sure to meet some fun and interesting people. And there is lots of free parking!
Pros: music, intimate, parking

This club is THE best club i've been in for jazz in Utah. There are no other places in this town that have such great music. Angela Bingham quartet was AWESOME!! Melissa Pace Quartet totally rocks There was a jazz trio on monday nights that was unreal. Bass, drums and guitar. I swear that guitarist was playing a piano!. The drinks are good! the staff is very nice (and very cute you single guys and gals) and the owner is really nice. Great drinks, amazing jazz and great cigars! GO!

This is one of the three or four decent places to hear actual, real, authentic jazz played by musicians who know their way around the block. Be prepared to show your appreciation to soloists, and have a great time. Enjoy a martini and a nice fat cigar.

My boyfriend and I were leaving Brewvies, heard the jazz, and HAD to go in. We were not dissapointed. I am not an avid Jazz listener or anything, but I thoroughly enjoyed the music. The ambience is very classy and relaxed. There was this kid who looked like he was 18 blowing on his trumpet like you would not believe. I will definitely go back.
Pros: Jazz, location
Cons: Al little spendy
