o shucks is a what you would call a whole in the wall! I love this place! The vegas roll is the best! The sushi spec. are good.. Get's a little crowded on wed nights! I LOve the staff! The bartenders are awsome !As for the membership thing..it's like that everwhere in UT...Peps need just to get used to it.......I would go to this every chance I get. Come on this place can't be all that bad if it's been around for a decade!

Some things never change and this place is still the worst mess possible. They cannot keep track of your membership so don't forget it. And if you do the Rude Hostess will sugest you going home to get it. Holly was our hostess and was beyond belief. She insulted my husband and me and said to talk to the bartender (who was the manager on duty) This is the time when customers should be handled better than ever but I guess they have enough business not to worry. Don't try to get in touch with the owner to let them know your concern. No reason to go here, a sushi deal is not worth it. The visitors with legs are still residents and the fish is FISHY

Pros: nothing worth it

Cons: pests and employees

The first visit was extremely fun. Good food, good sushi chef with a great knowledge of the sushi menu. Made it worth a return trip. The second visit was far below expectations. Service was absolutely absurd. A roach/insect came out from under the sushi cooler, brought it to the attention of the staff, she squashed it. Two more came out and the sushi chef squashed them. Requested to talk to the manager and was shrugged off. Come to find out the waitress who squashed the first insect was the manager. After ignoring us, approached her regarding the subject, became overly rude and stated I know what you are going to complain about, it is due to the construction across the street and I have other things to attend to. Paid for the meal happily, not looking for a hand out. Would have been nice if the management cared about their customers... After reading previous reviews, someone else had a similar encounter... unfortunate because it could be a great place...

I had always head good things about this place. We went on a Sunday and were seated right away. One person in our dinner party tried to order a Vegas roll with an ingredient omitted. The waiter came back after 20 minutes and said that they could not make custom orders because the rolls were pre-made. Why did it take almost an hour to get our rolls if they pre-make most of it???

Pros: Decent Food. Happy hour has good prices.

Cons: Noisy, Dirty, Slow Service

Wonderful sushi, Great atmosphere and staff. Ive been about 5 or 6 times and loved it each time. If you lucky enough to make happy hour, make sure you are one of the first ones there before 5, cause it gets packed. Wednesday specials are great and fun. My favorite rolls are catapiller, las vegas, mars and spider. All of those are amazing. The seattle crunch is a little boring. And their spicy tuna was'nt that good. If your feeling daring, then try the death roll. It will make you jump out of your chair...Its that hot!!! Have fun and enjoy some saki bombs.

Pros: Happy hour,Great sushi,Great staff,Great atmosphere...

Cons: Packed during happy hour (Get there early!), Regular hours have high prices. 21+

This is a place that is small - hard to get seated from 6-8pm. They have great happy hour specials on tapas and rolls. The funky charlie is definitely good and a mars is decent but not amazing. It can be a little dark and also need a membership to get in and 21 or older ONLY The lady upfront can be a little short, pushy and snotty but once you get past that the food is good. Beer schooners are great on wed night specials too.

Pros: happy hour

Cons: need a membership, 21+ only, hard to get seated

I'd definitely say make it to Happy hour, during 6-7 or on Wednesdays for the specials. Otherwise I probably wouldn't come here that often. It just sux to pay full price for sushi, to equal out to a price of a steak and still feel a little hungry after. Great during happy hour!!!!!

Today would be the 9th or 10th time I have dined in at Ahh Sushi Downtown. I enjoy going frequently because they have a wonderful happy hour menu from 5-6 pm daily that allows you to eat great sushi at low price (50% off)! Everytime I have dined in, up until now, I loved it. The only bad thing that I have experienced at Ahh Sushi is slow service. My best advice is to order all together to avoid this from happening. Today, my girlfrined and I arrived promptly at 5 pm to ensure seating, as sometimes it can be a long wait. We were sat almost immediately, and shortly after we were greeted by our server. We ordered the house salads, a teriyaki chicken dish, and two sushi rolls. After completely devouring everything on our plates, we decided that we would share another roll. So we grabed the attention of our server to order before happy hour ended at 6 o'clock. So the order went through at about 5:40 ish. Twenty minutes went by and no roll. I remained patient and asked what the hold up might be and then I was told by our server that the ticket was in and the roll was being made. "Great!", I said. But then another twenty minutes slowly rolled along and still no roll and no real explanation as to why other than "It should be coming out shortly". Another ten minutes go along and nothing has been brought to the table. I decided to cancel the roll and just leave. Had I known that it would've taken 50 minutes for a delicious tempura shrimp roll, I never would have ordered it. I believe that the server was to blame. I'm tossed between the notion of her forgetting to place the order, or her giving it away to another table. I will still eat there, but my expectations on their service has already been lowered. I must say though, that every server prior to this has been exceptional. There is a semi-young lady that works there that wears a cap that provides great service. I wish I could have her every time.

Pros: Great sushi at a great price!

Cons: You might get an unexperienced server.

I absolutely love the original Ahh Sushi downtown. They have awesome service--friendly, fast, conversational, and on top of it. This is what I was expecting at the new Ahh Sushi, but boy was I wrong. It was the WORST service I have ever had in my 8 years of eating in Park City. The server was rude, hard to understand, never paid attention to refills or dirty dishes, never asked us how the food tasted, etc, etc. The worst part was waiting 35 minutes for a CALIFORNIA roll! Give me a break! I work at a restaurant where it takes 10 minutes, tops. And there was absolutely no apology from our server. The sushi was just as great, fresh, and unique as the original Ahh sushi, but the horrible service means I will never, ever go back there. Shame on the owner for wasting this great location and great sushi on an immature, lazy service staff.

I am in a group of 6-8 people who go to a different sushi restaurant as a monthly event. I was assured that I would love my trip to Ahh Sushi and Sundays were a good choice since it wouldn’t be as busy. We arrived at 4:45 and were put on the list first to be seated. Another party of 10 arrived behind us and were seated first, which was weird. We ordered our cocktails, sake and our sushi at 5:15. The waitress seemed to avoid our table, and 45 minutes later, our drinks were refilled (They don't charge for water anymore). When a member of our party asked about our sushi, we were told the sushi chefs were behind and gave us some edamame as an apology (which was ice cold and disgusting). The party of 10 had already been served, as well as 2 other tables seated after us and everyone at the sushi bar. In fact, before our first rolls came to our table, an hour later, several people had been served, paid and left. It appeared the sushi chefs were only serving those at the sushi bar (since they were getting the direct tips). We finally received all of our order about an hour and 20 minutes from ordering. I wish I could say it was worth the wait, but frankly, it wasn’t. By the time we finished, everyone else in the restaurant had paid and left – which mystified us since we were the first party to arrive. Taste is not the only reason to frequent a restaurant. Pleasant staff who are attentive to your needs and food that is served promptly is of importance. As a diabetic, this is of special concern. I have seen 1 REAL sushi chef alone do more than those 3 combined. The wait staff took a couple of rolls off our order for the inconvenience. With a large tab for 6 people, this was insulting. Frankly, I felt at that point, we should have only been charged for our sake & our meal should have been on the house, but the staff could really have cared less, especially the waitress who said she was quitting anyway. I guess the reviews were accurate! Never Again!

Pros: Lots of time to enjoy my sake

Cons: Parking, slow service, rude service, NO service!
