I had an unpleasant experience at Gateway theater yesterday when I went to see a movie. I asked the cashier for a senior ticket and she said "I don't think so!'" Asking what the problem was after I was completely embarassed in front of the oher people in line, she curtly said "Well, you have to be 65 to get a senior ticket" To that, I said "all of the other theaters in the city provide senior pricing at 62". (I happen to be 63) . I think I will continue to patronize the Carmack and the other theaters that don't treat their seniors so harshly and with steeper restrictions. ;-((

I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE SINCE I MOVED BACK TO SLC IN 2001. GATEWAY REMINDS ME OF SAN DIEGO. AS A WOMAN ALONE I FEEL SAFE AND I CAN WANDER AROUND AFTER THE SHOW. I LOVE THIS THEATER AND ITS LOCATION! I LOVE THE FACT THAT I CAN ALSO TAKE THE TRAX!
Pros: SAFE LOCATION, INSIDE MALL, NEAR DINING
Cons: FOOD SO-SO, NEED HOT DRINKS, FOOD NOT READY

Great place to go, finally somewhere without a window between me and the employees, also the only place you can reach a live person on the phone.

Just what we need in Salt Lake City. It's large screens, and the most comfortable chairs make the whole time incrdible. Plus they have more than just popcorn, they have ice cream.

I think that this theater is a great place to see movies. I enjoy the stadium seating. Although their popcorn leaves alot to be desired and their other vender prices are a bit high it is a great theater. THey could encourage more people going if they would reduce their vender prices on the snacks. I tend to spend as little as possible on candy and drinks to cut the cost of movie going.
Pros: good parking, great seating, good location
Cons: high price condoments

I love going to this theater! The workers are helpful and kind. The atmosphere is comfortable. I don't feel crowded or rushed when I'm there. It's the only movie theater I go to!

Great choice of food, and cheaper than most large theatres. Very clean and easy to get to.

This is the best place to see a movie in SLC, they have the best customer service, comfertble seats, they have cheep parking $1.00 for two hours, and the lines are never long. I recomend this theater to everyone in SLC!
