The Scene
If you've never eaten at Oasis Café, then you may not be aware of Golden Braid Books, which is located just behind the restaurant. That's a shame because this is one of the best bookstores in the valley. Visit the store once and you'll be a true believer.
The Goods
In addition to CDs, fountains and candles, cards, calendars and jewelry and massage lotions, you'll find books on spirituality, metaphysics, yoga, and Eastern philosophies that traditional stores don't carry. There's also a modest selection of current fiction and used books. There's something for just about every budget, whether you're looking for a $1 candle or a $200 fountain.

Golden braid books has everything you do not expect to find in a bookstore in SLC. it's not just for people who know their new age. It has great gifts, great gift wrapping. I was surprised at their kids selection, local artist cards, cute purses, calendars, journals... I wander around for a hour every time I'm at Golden Braid.
